Canadian Citizenship

To be eligible to become a Canadian citizen, you must meet Citizenship & Immigration Canada’s eligibility requirements. You must:

 

• be a permanent resident of Canada 

• have lived in Canada for 3 out of the last 5 years (1095 days)

• have filed your taxes, if needed

• show how well you know Canada

• prove your language skills (reading, writing, and speaking) in either English or French
