Agri-Food Pilot Extended!

AGRI-FOOD PILOT - EXTENDED UP TO MAY 14, 2025

The good thing so far from the announcement is that one of the eligibility requirements, that is, a minimum Canadian equivalent of a secondary/high school education (Grade 12) can now be waived if you can prove that you meet the job requirements. This option is available to those who are already working in Canada. There used to be a lot of agri-food workers that cannot apply because they do not have the minimum Grade 12 education. Now, they can!

Eligible Industries -

• - Meat Product Manufacturing (NAICS 3116);

• Greenhouse, nursery, and floriculture production, including mushrooms (NAICS 114);

• Animal Production (NAICS 1121, 1122, 1123, 1124 and 1129).

Eligible occupations:

• NOC 63201 - Butchers - retail and wholesale

• NOC 65202 - Meat cutters and fishmongers - retail and wholesale

• NOC 94141 - Industrial butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and related workers

• NOC 82030 - Agricultural service contractors and farm supervisors

• NOC 84120 - Specialized livestock workers and farm machinery operators

• NOC 85100 - Livestock labourers

• NOC 95106 - Labourers in food and beverage processing

• NOC 85101 - Harvesting labourers
